Ants In Your Undies?

Yes, ants are the most common annoyance not just in your surroundings, but even in the most “private space” you may be thinking of. Of course, it is the feeling of discomfort that infuriates you – when ants start crawling on your legs and making their way to get inside your undies. In some speculations, it is said that the ants are after the moisture or the salt from one’s body that garments may contain as a person wears them. This may not be proven yet but certainly, ants are always after the food they can get. And yes, their small size is an advantage in getting access to any “potential food.” It’s so lucky of them to get anywhere they want, huh.

There are two ways in which ants may go to your private space: First is through crawling on your legs to get in your undies while you’re still wearing them. Second is through sneaking into the laundry room and crawling towards the laundry basket of used garments. There, the ants are free to choose which garments (or undies in particular) they want to have as their “hangout.” Unfortunately, you can not do anything to prevent the first way. But luckily, you can do a lot to get rid of the second. One point to bear in mind: take it as a housecleaning problem. Considering this, you better have everything in your house cleaned. First stop: the laundry room. The simple tandem of soap and water will do provided that you do the cleaning meticulously. You should then seal your used garments in a plastic bag so as not to attract ants. You may also want to use a home-made solution to spray on the openings in your place wherein the ants may frequently appear. Should the ants be swarming too badly on your things, you can also ask for the help of a pest control service provider. Just keep in mind to pick the best one: licensed, insured, and a good quality provider.

Ants may not be that harmful to humans, but they still are very irritating, especially when they start getting into your personal belongings. For that, it is still a must to invest on reliable ways to get rid of them.
